nhakaCPD was born from a simple observation: Zimbabwe has 40,000+ registered health professionals across eight councils, all required to maintain their competence through continuing professional development. Yet not a single council has a modern digital system to support this.
The consequences are real. Practitioners in rural areas travel hundreds of kilometres for workshops they cannot afford. Paper certificates get lost. Compliance tracking is manual, error-prone, and opaque. Councils make renewal decisions based on incomplete data.
We set out to build the platform that should already exist — one that respects the unique structure of Zimbabwe's health regulatory system, the economic realities of its practitioners, and the network conditions of its geography.
nhakaCPD is not a generic LMS with a Zimbabwean paint job. It is purpose-built infrastructure: white-labelled for each council, mobile-first for practitioners, offline-capable for rural deployment, and integrated with the payment methods Zimbabweans actually use.
